motherboard. The devices would include; CD-ROMs, Zip
Drives, Hard Drives, DVD-ROMs, CD Burners, etc… IDE
slots on the motherboard can only support up to 2
devices. This Cable will support only 1 Device. Some IDE
cables have 3 connectors. Those cables are for cases or
situations where you need to (or may need to) connect up
to 2 Devices, have a longer cable or to have some
variety and options to place the devices where you

It works with all IDE and EIDE devices
such as hard disk drives (HDD), CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, CD-R,
and CD-RW drives.
Separate IDE cable connections for hard
drives and CD ROMs are recommended. Sharing IDE cable
between hard drive and CD ROM may slow access to your
hard drive.
All new motherboards should already come
with one IDE cable. However, a second IDE cable is
recommended if you have more than one IDE device.

work with an old ATA33 hard drive/motherboard/CD
ROM.
Ultra ATA/66/100/133 is 100 percent backwards
compatible with both Ultra ATA/33 and DMA cables, and with
