Make this a season of laughter with this wonderful, jam-packed holiday matinee! An ideal pre-Christmas treat, perfect for snowy days or frosty nights, these hilarious, imaginative tales will entertain and enchant children of all ages. From Santa's uproarious struggle with the bumbling Martians to the timeless reading of The Night Before Christmas, these are memories of Christmas fun that will be cherished forever.

Santa Claus Conquers The Martians - 1964 - 81 minutes - Color - Martians, upset that their children have become obsessed with TV shows from Earth which extol the virtues of Santa Claus, start an expedition to Earth to kidnap the one and only Santa. While on Earth, they kidnap two lively children that lead the group of Martians to the North Pole and Santa. The Martians then take Santa and the two children back to Mars with them. Voldar, a particularly grumpy Martian, attempts to do away with the children and Santa before they get to Mars, but their leader Lomas stops him. When they arrive on Mars, Santa, with the help of the two Earth children and a rather simple-minded Martian lackey, overcomes the Martians by bringing fun, happiness and Christmas cheer to the children of Mars.

The Night Before Christmas - 1968 - 30 minutes - Color - Animated - An animated adaptation of how Clement Clark Moore came to write this classic Christmas poem for his ailing daughter.

Somewhere in Dreamland - 1936 - 8 minutes, 54 seconds - Color - Animated - A poignant story of two poor children who are out collecting firewood when they pass by a toy store, market and finally a bakery. They drool over the wares in the bakery window but walk away before the owner can come out and present them with two cupcakes. The kids go home and eat a meager supper before going to bed. They both dream they are in dreamland, where everything is free--cookies, candy, cakes, popcorn and toys. When they wake up it's all gone but the three merchants have stopped by to lay out a huge feast for them. Lovely story with timeless music. Fun for kids of all ages.

Picture-Quality varies on the DVD as each film has experienced the ravages of time!!
