Bonanza - The Avenger - 1959 - 44 minutes - Black & White - Season 1 - Episode 26 - Created by David Dortort, "Bonanza" was NBC's hit television series that dominated the ratings during the sixties. In the era of westerns, it was second only to Gunsmoke as the longest running and most successful western on the air. It was also designated as the first western in television history to be broadcast in color. The world of "Bonanza" is set in Virginia City, Nevada after the Civil War and discovery of the famous Comstock Silver Lode. In this episode Ben Cartwright (Lorne Greene) and his three sons, sensible Adam (Pernell Roberts), king-sized Hoss (Dan Blocker), and brash Little Joe (Michael Landon) own the Ponderosa, the largest ranch in Nevada. When Ben and Adam are jailed, convicted, and sentenced to the gallows for a murder they didn't commit, the cryptic stranger Lassiter (Vic Morrow) races to their defense.

The Cisco Kid - Chain Lightning - 1950 - 26 minutes - Color - Season 1 - Episode 7 - The beloved kiddie western The Cisco Kid ran from 1950-1956 and was one of the first television shows to be filmed in color. Loosely based on an O. Henry story, the series follows the adventures of the heroic Cisco Kid (Duncan Renaldo) and his bungling sidekick Pancho (Leo Carillo) as they roam the Wild West righting the wrongs of bandits, con men, and cattle rustlers. In thi episode after being sent to prison by Cisco and Pancho with the help of stage line owner Bill Shannon, gunfighter Jim Brent is released and sets out for revenge on all three. Guest Stars: Noel Neill, Dave Sharpe.

26 Men - The Recruit - 1957 - 25 minutes - Black & White - Season 1 - Episode 13 - First episode of the series. Captain Rynning and Ranger Travis answer a request for help sent out by a newspaper editor in the town of Wilcox, and arrive to find the editor hanging from a tree.

The Lone Ranger - Rustler's Hideout - 1949 - 25 minutes - Black & White - Season 1 - Episode 5 - The Lone Ranger is the story about two men who were childhood friends, one white the other Indian. When John Reid was old enough he was sent back east to be educated and later returned with a law degree. His parents dead, his only kin was his older brother a Texas Ranger. His brother wanted better for his brother but John insisted becoming a Ranger. While in pursuit of the Cavendish gang John Reid and his brother and the rest of the rangers in the hunt were ambushed and all were killed and left for dead. John alone survived the ambush as he was found by an Indian named Tonto who was his blood brother and childhood friend. Tonto nursed John back to health and John vowed to bring law & justice to the west, but because he was believed dead, he thought it a good Idea to don a mask in order to instill fear in criminals and law breakers. With his faithful friend Tonto and his great steed Silver he roams the Wild West righting wrongs, defending the weak and preying on the evil of men. In this episode Fred (Harry Lauter) and Mary Vance (Kay Morley) want to homestead in the area and start new after Fred was released from prison after being framed by the head of the Pete Madden Gang. The Lone Ranger & Tonto are also in the area, looking for the Madden Gang members. Jim Patrick (Dickie Jones) has been taken as a hostage by the gang because Jim's father, Tom Patrick (Joseph Crehan), has been searching for the gang as well. Fred Vance assists our heroes and risks his life to rescue Jim Patrick and earns the respect and help of Tom Patrick and his friends and neighbors. Fred Kohler, Jr. plays the part of Jake Nolan.
