This animated version of Charles Dickens' family classic, with original songs by Academy Award winners Al Kasha and Joel Hirschhorn (The Poseidon Adventure, The Towering Inferno), features an all-star voice cast.

The unforgettable characters are all rendered as animals, with David (Julian Lennon) an adorable cat born to Clara (Kelly LeBrock), leaving her rich, boy-hating Aunt Betsey (Andrea Martin) beside herself with rage. Edward Murdstone (Michael York) weds the widowed Clara for her money, but David mistrusts him, so he is sent to stay with Murdstone's old associate, Mr. Micawber (Joseph Marcell), and work in his cheese factory. It's a harsh life, and David needs new friends to get him through: Mealy (Howie Mandel), a devil-may-care dog, who shows him the ropes, and the Lady Agnes (Sheena Easton), the daughter of Murdstone's landlord!!
