The Dick Van Dyke Show was the most honored TV program
of 1964, winning five Emmy® Awards for acting, directing
and writing. The show earned more Emmys that year than
in any other, earning a total of 15 over the course of
the series. The Season 3 box set contains all Thirty-Two
original full length episodes.
Based around the characters of Pratfall-prone Rob Petrie
(Dick Van Dyke) and his plucky wife Laura (Mary Tyler
Moore), along with wisecracking co-workers Sally (Rose
Marie) and Buddy (Morey Amsterdam), captured America's
hearts in this TV favorite that irresistibly combined
wit and slapstick.
Season Three of the Van Dyke show has some comedy
classics, including the season opener, That's My Boy?? -
which has a punchline that still, to this day, cannot be
seen coming by the first-time viewer. Includes
interviews with cast members and a talk-over track
supplied by show creators, Carl Reiner, and Dick Van
Dyke. If you're a first-time viewer to these shows, you
have hours of enjoyment ahead of you. If you're a repeat
viewer to these shows, you have, well, hours of
enjoyment ahead of you!!
