10
years after an army accident involving a chemical weapon
with the power to fry the skin off every living thing
within a five mile radius, the army major who wrongly
took the blame is released from prison and is out for
vengeance. The means?
Yes, the very same weapon, which must
in fact stay at a temperature 50 degrees or colder or it
will detonate. Enter an ice cream truck driver (Gooding)
and a drifter (Ulrich), who with the help of the
scientist (Paymer) who designed the weapon, are
determined to keep it cold and out of the wrong hands now save his son, a gesture which breathes
new life and new hope into the family he nearly deserted!!

This is a 14 minute documentary narrated by the

very in-depth look into every step of the production
of the scenes that contain various effects. You see
the crew at work, as well as concept art and rough
work of the effects. Fascinating stuff, and the

Notes/Cast & Crew Biographies &
Filmographies: What's rather different here is
that the text for the cast/crew biographies scrolls
slowly upward rather than just being basic text. The
score also plays in the background. If you look
under the biographies for director Hugh Johnson,
Skeet Ulrich, Peter Firth and actress Hudson Leick,
you'll find interviews with each that run about a
minute or two in length.
Enhanced Features for your
DVD-ROM PC*: There are links to Warner Home
Video and the Morgan Creek websites included in the
ROM portion of the DVD. Also included is Chill
Factor: The Game. You have to successfully play
the game to access the alternate ending that is
viewable on the DVD-ROM portion only. The game is a
collection of mazes where you have to guide the ice
cream truck through the various mazes. It's much
tougher than you think, and don't blame us if you're
needing new arrow keys after playing the game.
The Easter egg is Alternate
Ending: The alternate ending is shown after
finishing the trivia, but it can also be directly
accessed. It is located in the discs title 14,
chapter 1.
